Rescue Task Force Equipment

A Rescue Task Force (RTF) is a trained group of firefighters and EMS paramedics partnered with law enforcement to effectively respond to the scene of an active threat, such as an active shooter or terrorist attack. They enter a scene together to provide immediate medical care, triage patients, and evacuate casualties.

The NFPA 3000 Active Shooter Hostile Event Response standard provides for the minimum amount of training and equipment recommended for such personnel.
