TacMed™ HELIOS System

The TACMED Helios System is an ultra-compact hypothermia prevention system that comes in two versions (one of which includes the Medi-Heat air-activated heating pad and two covers) allowing for varying levels of heat retention without hindering patient accessibility.

Hypothermia prevention and management is a key component in the fight to prevent the onset of the lethal triad of acidosis, hypothermia, and coagulopathy. Failure to manage this condition early in the treatment process can reduce patient survivability and further complicate the treatment process.

The Helios® System was developed to provide the care provider with an ultra-compact, lightweight, modular system that allows varying levels of heat retention while still allowing patient accessibility. 

The Active Warming variant includes the Medi-Heat heating pad which provides up to 12 hours of active warming activity.
