Rebellion21: Canadian TIA Risk Score vs ABCD2

Marco Torres |

The management of patients with transient ischemic attacks (TIA) can be difficult.  Do they all need admission, or can low risk patients go home?  How do we define low risk?  Multiple scoring systems are in place to help answer that question, but the admission rate of TIA patients remains high.  A newly developed score is the Canadian TIA risk score which shows promise.  But how does it compare to the tried-and-true risk scores we use in medicine?
