Cómo funciona es revolucionario. Desde que se concibieron por primera vez las bandas constrictoras, el diseño no se había alterado tan fundamentalmente como con el BOA®. Para mejorar el acceso venoso central en todo momento, BOA® utiliza una acción rodante para transfundir sangre venosa a las venas distales sin dejar de permitir el flujo arterial.
