The North American Rescue SPEAR Device is a versatile needle decompression tool designed based on science and user feedback to improve success rates in treating tension pneumothorax. It offers lateral and traditional anterior needle thoracostomy options, a sharper needle, centimeter depth markings, and a detachable low pressure check valve for confirmation. It is also compatible with the new TCCC Guidelines for a larger needle size.
