How many patients can the Curaplex Active Assailant Kit treat?

The kit contains 5 C-A-T® Tourniquets in the main kit plus 6 individual blow-out kits, each with additional hemostatic dressings and gauze — providing initial hemorrhage control for up to 11 patients via tourniquet alone. HALO chest seals (4 vented, 4 non-vented) and 4 decompression needles provide additional multi-patient chest wound management capability.

What are the vacuum-sealed blow-out kits for?

The 6 vacuum-sealed blow-out mini kits are individual single-patient trauma packages that can be rapidly distributed to bystanders or other responders. Each contains a QuikClot Combat Gauze LE, Israeli bandage, compressed gauze, and gloves — providing a self-contained hemorrhage control kit that can be thrown or handed to anyone on scene.

Does this kit include N95 respiratory protection?

Yes. The Curaplex Active Assailant Kit includes 5 FluidShield N95 respirator masks and 5 pairs of safety glasses — providing PPE for up to 5 responders operating in environments with airborne hazards, blood spray, or unknown respiratory exposure risks.

Are the C-A-T® Tourniquets in this kit CoTCCC-recommended?

Yes. The 5 C-A-T® (Combat Application Tourniquet®) units in this kit are the CoTCCC-recommended standard for extremity hemorrhage control. The QuikClot Combat Gauze LE hemostatic dressings included in both the main kit and blow-out kits are also CoTCCC-recommended for wound packing.
