Is the NcStar Quick Release carrier appropriate for rescue task force use?

Yes. The quick-release functionality makes this carrier well-suited for rescue task force (RTF) and active shooter response applications where first responders may be providing medical care to casualties wearing similar carriers. The ability to rapidly remove the carrier enables point-of-wounding chest injury management consistent with TECC protocols. The accessible laser-cut MOLLE allows configuration with IFAK pouches and tourniquet holders appropriate to the RTF role.

What plates does the NcStar Quick Release 10x12 carrier accept?

The carrier accommodates standard 10"×12" hard armor plates (Level III or Level IV, Shooter's Cut or SAPI-compatible format) and soft armor inserts of the same dimension in both front and rear plate pockets. The NcStar VISM BSC1012 Level IIIA soft panels are a compatible pairing. For rifle protection, Level IV ceramic plates from manufacturers such as RTS Tactical provide the highest NIJ protection level at this plate size.

Is the NcStar Quick Release carrier available in Multicam?

No. The NcStar Laser Cut Quick Release Plate Carrier 10"×12" is available in Black, Olive Drab, and Coyote Tan. Multicam and Ranger Green colorways are not currently offered in this specific model. Operators requiring Multicam in a quick-release carrier platform may consider the Chase Tactical MEAC-R, which is available in Black, Ranger Green, and Coyote Tan with Multicam options in related Chase Tactical carrier models.
