Rapid Response Pack
Four items, one pouch — expose, pack, compress. Built around one of the fastest-acting hemostatic gauzes available.
What is the Rapid Response Pack? A compact four-item bleeding-control bundle: Celox Rapid hemostatic gauze for wound packing, a Safeguard Medical 4″ Emergency Trauma Dressing for compression, trauma shears to expose the wound, and a pair of nitrile gloves for responder protection. It covers the full sequence — expose, pack, compress — without pulling supplies from another kit.

Product Overview
Most compact bleed kits give you a hemostatic and a bandage and stop there — leaving the responder to find shears and gloves somewhere else while a casualty bleeds. The Rapid Response Pack closes that gap. Four items cover the actual working sequence: cut the clothing away, pack the wound, wrap it under pressure, and do it without bare hands.
Celox Rapid is built around activated Chito-R on a rapid-packing gauze strip that forms an adhesive gel on contact with blood, sealing the wound and resisting re-bleeding during movement and evacuation. It reaches hemostasis with substantially reduced compression time compared to many other hemostatic gauzes — which matters when the responder has to keep moving or treat a second casualty. Chitosan clots independently of the body's normal coagulation cascade, so it continues to work in hypothermic and hemodiluted blood, the exact physiology of a severe trauma patient. It generates no exothermic heat on application.
The Safeguard Medical 4″ Emergency Trauma Dressing supplies the compression half. Its integrated pressure bar and elastic retention wrap allow single-handed application and consistent, adjustable pressure over the packed wound. The Z-fold gauze and flat-packed dressing keep the whole bundle sized for an IFAK, range bag, vehicle kit, or duty bag.
Operating Notes
- Glove up, then cut clothing clear with the shears to expose and identify the bleeding site
- Pack the wound cavity with Celox Rapid and apply firm, sustained direct pressure to let the chitosan matrix form a stable clot
- Apply the 4″ ETD over the packed wound, wrapping to maintain compression, and secure with the built-in closure
- Note the time and hand off to EMS or higher-level care
