What is the READY WRAP™? A compact, self-conforming elastic pressure wrap made from GRIP8™ high-stretch, high-grip thermoplastic elastomer. Where It Fits — Scope of Use

Be precise about what this is. The READY WRAP™ is a compression and retention wrap. Within MARCH, it supports the M — Massive Hemorrhage step as an adjunct: it holds packing and dressings in place and applies sustained circumferential compression once bleeding is already controlled.

It is not a tourniquet and does not substitute for one. Life-threatening extremity arterial hemorrhage gets a CoTCCC-recommended limb tourniquet applied high and tight on the proximal third of the limb, never across a joint. It is also not a hemostatic agent and does not substitute for wound packing with hemostatic or plain gauze.

The correct escalation sequence remains: direct pressure → wound packing → pressure dressing or compression wrap → tourniquet for true arterial bleeding not controlled by the preceding steps. The READY WRAP™ lives at the third rung and performs there.
