The QuickLitter is referenced in TECC and LEFR-TCC course materials for Rescue Task Force operations. While individual devices are not individually 'CoTCCC-recommended,' the QuickLitter design category meets the doctrinal requirement for rapid point-of-injury extraction.

What is the weight capacity of the Elite Responder QuickLitter?

The Elite Responder QuickLitter is rated for standard adult casualties. Specific load ratings are published by North American Rescue for the current production version — refer to the product documentation included in the packaging. For casualties exceeding standard weight parameters, transition to a rated rigid litter (Talon II, T3) as soon as tactically feasible.

Can one person use the QuickLitter alone?

Two-person deployment is the standard and recommended method. However, the loop handles at each end of the QuickLitter allow a single rescuer to drag a casualty across flat surfaces, stairs, and most terrain in extremis. Solo drag should only be used when a second rescuer is unavailable and the tactical situation requires immediate extraction.

Does the QuickLitter require any special training?

No dedicated certification is required. Standard TECC, LEFR-TCC, and TCCC evacuation modules cover litter carries including non-rigid platforms. Responders should practice two-person and solo drag deployment drills prior to operational use. The QuickLitter's straightforward design deploys without assembly — remove from packaging and carry.

How is the QuickLitter stored and how quickly does it deploy?

The Elite Responder QuickLitter stores flat, folded, or rolled — it fits in a cargo pocket, vest pouch, or side compartment of a trauma bag. Deployment is immediate: unfold, position under or beside the casualty, and carry. No rigid frame assembly, buckle threading, or pre-rigging is required.
