PRODUCT INFORMATION

Panel and cordage only — case and contents not included

You receive one half-size accessory panel and the elastic cordage. Photographs show the panel installed in a loaded REX Case alongside other panels, pouches, and medical supplies to demonstrate configuration. The case, the other panels, the mesh pouches, and every medical item pictured are sold separately and are not included.

The REX Accessory Panel (Half) is the compact version of Blue Tide's user-configurable retention board. The Laser-cut Lock Matrix is a slot grid across the whole panel — you weave the included elastic cordage through it to build retention loops exactly where your gear needs them, sized to what you actually carry. At 4⅜ in × 6 in it occupies part of a face rather than all of it, which is precisely the point: this is the size that shares a REX Case interior with a mesh pouch or a set of NARCO Panels.

The half panel exists so one interior face can do two jobs. Blue Tide calls this out explicitly: if you are building a REX Case that carries a Velcro mesh pouch and a set of NARCO Panels, the half size is the one that fits alongside them.

  • Split-face REX builds — half panel on one side of a face, mesh pouch on the other.
  • A small dedicated zone for the four or five items you always reach for, kept separate from the bulk of the kit.
  • Second panel on the opposite face of a case already running a medication board.
  • Small pouches and admin panels where a full-size board simply will not fit.
  • Cheapest way to test the system before committing a whole case to it.

If the panel will be the only thing on that face, buy the full size instead — you are leaving usable real estate empty otherwise.

Setup and use
  1. Confirm the fit first. Measure the loop field and whatever else is sharing it. At 4⅜ × 6 in this panel is designed to leave room beside it, not to be crammed in.
  2. Lay the gear out on the bare board before you thread anything. On a small panel, position matters more — you have fewer slots to work with.
  3. Weave the cordage to the item. Slot spacing sets the anchor points; the tension you pull is what actually retains. Tight enough to survive being turned over, loose enough to release one-handed.
  4. Keep the perimeter clear. Items woven at the very edge foul the zipper on closing.
  5. Shake test it. Invert the loaded panel. Anything that drops was resting, not retained.
  6. Mount it. Press the hook backing down across the full contact area.
Comparison vs common alternatives

Half vs Full accessory panel: the half is 4⅜ × 6 in and shares a face; the full is 6 × 8¾ in and owns one. The manufacturer specifically recommends the half when a mesh pouch and NARCO Panels are in the same REX Case. Half for mixed builds, full for a single continuous layout.

Half panel vs a medication panel: medication boards are pre-cut for vials and syringes in fixed, standardized positions. This is a blank grid for everything that is not a vial. They are complements, not substitutes.

Two half panels vs one full panel: two halves cost roughly the same as one full and give you two independently removable zones — useful if you want to pull one section out and hand it to somebody. One full gives you a continuous unbroken surface. Pick based on whether the layout needs to split.

FAQ

Q: Is the elastic cordage included?

A: Yes. Panel plus cordage. That is the complete system.

Q: Is the REX Case included?

A: No. The case, the mesh pouches, the NARCO Panels, and all medical items in the photography are separate purchases.

Q: Half or full?

A: Half if something else is sharing that interior face — a mesh pouch, a NARCO Panel, a second half panel. Full if the panel is the only occupant. The manufacturer's specific recommendation is half for the case-plus-mesh-pouch-plus-NARCO-Panels build.

Q: Do I need a REX Case?

A: No. Any loop Velcro field works — bag lids, hard cases, wall boards, vehicle organizers, the interior of a PFC Pouch.

Q: Can I re-weave it?

A: Yes, as often as the kit changes. The cordage pulls out and re-threads — that is the entire design intent.

Note: this is an organization accessory, not a clinical device. You receive one half-size accessory panel and elastic cordage. The REX Modular Case, other panels, mesh pouches, medications, and medical supplies depicted in product photography are sold separately and are not included.
