SAVe II+ Noise Attenuator (Case of 5)
An optional accessory for the SAVe II / SAVe II+ ventilator (SKU M41112-5) that dampens operational noise at the air intake port. Used when the supplemental oxygen reservoir is not connected. Sold in cases of 5 for resupply and multi-unit inventory.
The SAVe II+ Noise Attenuator reduces operational ventilator noise at the air intake port — improving the acoustic environment for patients and staff, and supporting acoustic-signature management in tactical settings. It occupies the same intake port as the oxygen reservoir, so the two are mutually exclusive: the attenuator is used when supplemental oxygen via the reservoir is not in use.

Use Cases
- Clinical Noise Management: Used in multi-patient ward environments (field hospitals, medical holds) to reduce ventilator noise that contributes to patient stress, sleep disruption, and staff communication interference.
- Tactical Acoustic Signature Reduction: Deployed in tactical settings where ventilator operational noise may compromise noise discipline or patient/team positioning, such as in security operations or austere care environments.
- Room-Air Ventilation Scenarios: Used when supplemental oxygen is not required — patients being ventilated on room air to maintain oxygenation without supplemental O₂ supply constraints.
- Post-Extubation Monitoring: Applied during weaning or monitoring phases where oxygen supplementation is paused and noise management is beneficial.
- Resupply Inventory Management: Case-of-5 packaging allows units to pre-stage one case per ventilator or per resupply cycle, aligning with the 5-patient Starter Bundle cadence.
Noise Attenuator vs Oxygen Reservoir: Intake Port Accessory Selection
- Port Occupancy: Both the noise attenuator and oxygen reservoir connect to the same air intake port — only one can be installed at a time.
- Use When O₂ NOT Needed: Noise attenuator installed — reduces intake noise while allowing ambient air ventilation.
- Use When O₂ IS Needed: Oxygen reservoir installed — remove noise attenuator first to allow O₂ titration through the intake port.
- Noise Benefit: The attenuator reduces ventilator operational noise; the reservoir does not provide noise attenuation.
- Clinical Priority: When patient oxygenation requires supplemental O₂, always prioritize installing the reservoir over the attenuator.
