PRODUCT INFORMATION

TacMed™ Foxtrot DA Litter

The definitive rapid-deployment litter engineered for direct-action environments — built to extract casualties from urban breach points, vehicle extractions, and confined-space operations where standard litters fail.

Overview

The TacMed™ Foxtrot DA Litter is a purpose-built evacuation tool designed around the realities of direct-action operations. Unlike traditional litters that require open terrain and a full carry team, the Foxtrot DA is engineered for single-operator drag, rapid-team carries, and vehicle loading under fire. It pairs the structural integrity of a rigid-capable litter with an ultra-packable folded form factor, allowing operators to stage it on kit without sacrificing mobility.

Constructed from 500D Cordura nylon with integrated aluminum stay bars, the Foxtrot DA maintains casualty position across varied terrain — cobblestone, rubble, vehicle floors — without the flex and fold characteristic of poleless drag sheets. Integrated carry handles on all four sides plus a heel-drag loop provide instant access regardless of the carry configuration required by the tactical situation.

Tested against the demands of SOCOM, federal LE breaching teams, and TEMS units, the Foxtrot DA is the litter of choice when seconds determine survival and there is no room for a standard litter system.

Key Features

  • 🔲 Direct-Action Optimized: Engineered for single-operator drag, two-person carry, and vehicle loading under fire — not just open terrain transport
  • 🔲 Rigid-Capable Construction: Integrated aluminum stay bars prevent fold-under on stairs, thresholds, and uneven rubble
  • 🔲 Six-Point Handle System: Four side handles plus head and heel loops for any carry configuration, including confined-space drags
  • 🔲 500D Cordura Build: High-tenacity nylon resists abrasion on concrete, gravel, and vehicle floors
  • 🔲 Compact Fold Profile: Stages flat in an ALICE or assault pack side pocket; deploys in under 5 seconds
  • 🔲 Adjustable Patient Retention: Integrated strap attachment points compatible with standard litter straps or cravats
  • 🔲 800+ lb Weight Rating: Supports full-kit casualties with SAPI plates, weapons, and equipment without structural compromise
  • 🔲 TEMS & Law Enforcement Proven: Fielded by SWAT medical teams, federal breaching units, and SOF support elements

Use Cases — Who Needs The Foxtrot DA Litter

  • SWAT & Tactical Law Enforcement: Stage flat on a kit bag for rapid casualty extraction through door frames, stairwells, and vehicle ingress/egress points during active threat incidents
  • Military Direct-Action Units: Primary litter for SOF and ranger elements conducting urban breach operations where full-size litters cannot be staged on kit
  • Rescue Task Force (RTF) Teams: Enables warm-zone and hot-zone casualty movement in active shooter and mass casualty events without exposing responders to additional threat dwell time
  • Vehicle Medical Kits: Stores flat in a patrol vehicle trunk, armored vehicle, or helicopter side pocket for immediate deployment on contact
  • Search & Rescue (SAR) Operations: Packable form factor allows foot-mobile teams to carry litter capability into wilderness and rubble environments without dedicated litter carriers
  • TEMS Medics: Preferred by tactical emergency medical support personnel who need a full litter capability without the bulk of a rigid Sked or SLIX-SHIELD system

Foxtrot DA vs. Comparable Tactical Litters

  • vs. Skedco Sked Basic Rescue System: The Foxtrot DA deploys faster (<5 sec vs. 15–30 sec for Sked unroll), offers a 6-point handle system vs. Sked's drag-loop-only design, and packs flatter for on-kit staging — Sked wins for confined vertical rescues
  • vs. TacMed™ Poleless Litter: The Foxtrot DA adds aluminum stays for rigidity on uneven terrain; the Poleless Litter is lighter for static four-person carries on relatively flat ground
  • vs. SLIX-SHIELD Litter: SLIX-SHIELD adds ballistic protection panels; Foxtrot DA prioritizes speed, packability, and versatile handle geometry — appropriate when ballistic coverage is provided by other team assets
  • vs. NAR TALON II Litter: TALON II is a full rigid litter requiring dedicated carry; Foxtrot DA is designed for spontaneous deployment and single-operator drag from a packed position
  • vs. USMC Poleless Litter (NSN): Foxtrot DA provides a civilian/commercial equivalent to the USMC poleless system with improved handle count and commercial availability without government procurement requirements

Application & Training Notes

The Foxtrot DA Litter is designed to be staged on kit, not stored in a vehicle or cache point. Operators should practice one-hand deployment and single-operator drag techniques as part of their TCCC/TECC sustainment training cycle. The litter integrates with standard TCCC patient packaging protocols: apply hemorrhage control and airway adjuncts first, then move.

For multi-operator carries, the four side handles support a standard four-person carry with full weight distribution. In confined spaces — doorways, vehicle cabins, narrow corridors — the heel-drag loop enables a single operator to move a full-kit casualty without requiring a second person to lift.

Compatible with all standard litter strap systems. For austere environments, improvised cravat attachment points are available on the frame rails.
