FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many tourniquets does the TitanCare® Quad Tourniquet Pouch hold?
The TitanCare® Quad Tourniquet Pouch holds four tourniquets. It is designed to hold four SOF® Tactical Tourniquet-Wide (SOF® TT-W) or four Combat Application Tourniquets® (C-A-T®) — the two most widely fielded CoTCCC-recommended windlass tourniquets in military and law enforcement use.
Are the tourniquets included with the TitanCare® Quad Pouch?
No. The TitanCare® Quad Tourniquet Pouch is sold as a pouch only — tourniquets are not included. Tourniquets (CAT Gen 7, SOFTT-W) must be sourced separately and loaded into the pouch. This is standard practice for tourniquet pouches to allow unit or individual selection of their organizationally-issued tourniquet type.
How does the TitanCare® Quad Pouch mount to gear?
The pouch mounts to Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) systems via standard MOLLE/PALS attachment. This allows external mounting to plate carriers, tactical vests, medic bags, vehicle fixtures, or any other MOLLE-equipped surface where rapid multi-tourniquet access is required.
Why would a medic need four tourniquets in one pouch?
A combat medic or combat lifesaver may face multiple simultaneous extremity hemorrhage scenarios: bilateral arm or leg wounds on a single casualty (requiring up to four tourniquets), multiple casualties in the same engagement, or mass casualty incidents. Staging four tourniquets in a single accessible pouch maximizes hemorrhage control capacity before resupply is needed and is consistent with the principle of carrying tourniquet supply proportional to potential casualty load.
Is the TitanCare® Quad Tourniquet Pouch CoTCCC-recommended?
The pouch itself is a carrier and does not carry a CoTCCC recommendation status. However, it is specifically designed to hold CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets (SOF® TT-W and C-A-T® Gen 7), staging them for rapid deployment in compliance with CoTCCC hemorrhage control protocols. Consistent with CoTCCC guidance, tourniquets staged in this pouch should be carried in a ready-to-apply configuration.
