Why does this kit include two tourniquets?

The dual-tourniquet configuration supports both self-aid (applying a tourniquet one-handed on your own injured limb) and immediate buddy aid or treatment of a second casualty. Many law enforcement and military vehicle IFAK standards now require two tourniquets for this reason.

What is the difference between the Basic and Combat Gauze variants?

The Basic variants (80-1091, 80-1150) include NAR plain Wound Packing Gauze. The Combat Gauze variants (80-1151, 80-1152) replace the gauze with QuikClot Combat Gauze Z-fold — a hemostatic gauze impregnated with kaolin that is CoTCCC-recommended for life-threatening hemorrhage.

Does this kit include CoTCCC-recommended supplies?

Yes. The C-A-T® Orange Tourniquet, HyFin® Vent Chest Seals, and ETDs are all CoTCCC-recommended. The Combat Gauze variants add CoTCCC-recommended hemostatic gauze.

What vehicles does this kit mount to?

It attaches to headrest posts on standard passenger vehicles, SUVs, trucks, police patrol cars, EMS units, and fire apparatus. At H5.25×W7.25×D4.25 in, it is compact enough for most vehicle headrest post configurations.

Is this kit available in colors other than Black?

Yes — Coyote Tan is available for both the Basic and Combat Gauze variants (80-1150, 80-1152). Black is available as 80-1091 (Basic) and 80-1151 (Combat Gauze).

Does the Vehicle Headrest IFAK Kit contain CoTCCC-recommended items?

Yes. The kit contains two C-A-T tourniquets, HyFin Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack, Emergency Trauma Dressings, and hemostatic gauze — all CoTCCC-recommended items for extremity hemorrhage, penetrating chest trauma, and wound packing.

What training is required to use the Vehicle Headrest IFAK?

Stop the Bleed, TCCC individual aid, or equivalent hemorrhage-control training is recommended. The dual-tourniquet load follows the same application technique as a single tourniquet — high and tight, above the injury.

Will the kit mount to any vehicle headrest?

The kit is designed to mount on standard vehicle headrest posts. Confirm fit with your specific vehicle's headrest post diameter and spacing before mounting. Available in Black and Coyote Tan color options.
