Noontime™ Plate Carrier

A 12-ounce plate carrier made in Texas from 500D Cordura® backed with X-Ply aramid thread laminate, with Dura-Stretch® Tweave® plate bags accepting up to 10" × 12" or Medium SAPI armor. The vented mesh cummerbund is reinforced with Tegris composite and carries MOLLE, and a triple-slot Kangaroo Adjustable Insert sets each pouch depth independently. Berry Compliant. No armor included.

What's Included

How much does the TAC 11 Noontime plate carrier weigh?

The TAC 11 Noontime™ Plate Carrier weighs 12 ounces — three-quarters of one pound. This makes it one of the lightest operational plate carriers commercially available. The weight is achieved through the X-Ply aramid thread laminated 500D Cordura shell construction, Dura-Stretch® Tweave® plate bag material, and lightweight Tegris composite cummerbund reinforcement — all designed to minimize carrier mass without sacrificing structural integrity.

What plate sizes does the Noontime carrier accept?

The TAC 11 Noontime™ accepts plates up to 10"×12" and Medium SAPI-size armor in the front and rear plate pockets. The Dura-Stretch® Tweave® plate bag material provides conforming stretch for secure plate retention without rigid pocket construction. The Medium size carrier fits waist circumferences of 35.75"–40" with 3" additional stretch; the Large fits 42"–47" with 3" stretch.

Is the Noontime carrier Berry Compliant?

Yes. The TAC 11 Noontime™ Plate Carrier is made in Texas, USA, and is Berry Compliant. The Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. § 2533a) requires that the U.S. Department of Defense procure certain items — including textile and apparel goods — that are wholly grown, reprocessed, reused, or produced in the United States. Berry Compliance is a standard requirement for federally contracted tactical gear procurement.

What is the Kangaroo Adjustable Insert and how does it work?

The KAI (Kangaroo Adjustable Insert) is a triple-section modular insert included with the Noontime™. Each of the three slots has independently adjustable depth, controlled by 1.5" OneWrap Velcro bottom straps. By setting different depths, the user can configure each section for a different accessory — a magazine at full depth, a tourniquet at half depth, a radio at three-quarters depth, for example. Dual vertical stitch lines between sections can be cut away to create larger single sections as needed.

Can side armor be added to the Noontime plate carrier?

Yes. TAC 11 offers compatible side armor accessories for the Noontime™ — the Soft KOR (soft armor side pouches) and Hard KOR (hard armor side plate pouches) mount to the cummerbund MOLLE to provide lateral torso ballistic protection. These accessories extend the system's coverage to the side torso zones not protected by the front and rear plates. They are purchased separately from the base Noontime™ carrier.
