Physician and medical educator. Navy veteran with experience as a tactical medic and flight medic. Founder and CEO of MED-TAC International, a clinician-founded, service-disabled veteran-owned tactical medicine training and equipment company; creator of 3 LENS EMS; founder of ALKEON Health.
Author of four books and a recognized instructor in evidence-based trauma medicine who has presented at tactical medicine conferences in the United States and abroad. Every Private Cadre engagement is led by him in person.

Anywhere. We are based in South Florida and deliver across the United States, the Caribbean, and internationally — residences, ranches, lodges, offices, and, with the captain's approval, vessels underway. This service is available worldwide, unless prohibited by United States law for travel and work.
Who teaches? +
Dr. Torres leads every engagement in person, with one or two instructors selected for your venue.
How many people can you train? +
A single household or a staff of twenty. Groups are tiered by role so that family, staff, and security each train to what they will actually be asked to do.
Do you provide the equipment? +
Yes. Training equipment travels with the cadre. Kits staged at your property come from the MED-TAC catalog with printed manifests, and we can inspect and integrate what you already own.
How long does it take? +
One to three days on site, set by the size of the group and the number of venues. The consultation and readiness assessment happen before we travel.
Do you train children? +
Yes. We have age-appropriate training and instruction for kids as young as 5. Kids over 10 can generally handle adult-level skills.
Is there a price list or a calendar? +
No. Every engagement is scoped to your people and your property, and dates are set around your calendar, not ours. The consultation is the first step.
