Celox™ Rapid and Celox™ Gauze are different products with different SKUs, and both hold CoTCCC recommendation — neither substitutes for the other. This bundle contains Celox™ Rapid. Because chitosan works independently of the body's normal clotting cascade, it continues to function in the hypothermic, hemodiluted blood of a severe trauma patient, which is precisely when the cascade itself is failing.

First responders, law enforcement and military carrying a compact packing capability in an IFAK, duty bag or plate carrier · Range and vehicle kits, where the Z-fold gauze and flat-packed dressing keep the bundle small · Trained civilians who want the whole sequence in one pouch rather than assembled from three purchases · Anyone upgrading a kit that has a hemostatic but no shears or gloves.

Working sequence: glove up, cut the clothing clear to find the bleeding site, pack the wound cavity with the Celox™ Rapid and hold firm sustained direct pressure while the chitosan matrix forms a stable clot, then apply the 4-inch ETD over the pack to maintain compression and secure it. This gel seals the wound and bonds to wound tissue, enabling hemostasis within 60 seconds of compression. Unlike older-generation hemostatic agents, Celox Rapid generates no exothermic heat on application, improving patient comfort and tissue safety.
