PRODUCT INFORMATION

Panel and cordage only — case and contents not included

You receive one full-size accessory panel and the elastic cordage. Photographs show the panel installed in a loaded REX Case alongside other panels, pouches, and medical supplies to demonstrate configuration. The case, the other panels, the mesh pouches, and every medical item pictured are sold separately and are not included.

The REX Accessory Panel (Full) is a laser-cut insert that turns any loop Velcro field into retention you designed yourself. Blue Tide's Laser-cut Lock Matrix is a grid of slots across the whole board — you weave the included elastic cordage through the matrix to build retention loops exactly where your gear needs them, in the sizes your gear actually is. Nothing about the layout is fixed at the factory. At 6 in × 8¾ in this is the large format, sized to fill one interior face of a REX Case.

Use cases (when to choose this)

Choose the full size when you want one board to own an entire face — a continuous layout rather than two smaller zones with a seam down the middle.

  • Airway and IV organization — supraglottic airways, NPAs, catheters, tubing, and flushes each get a cordage loop cut to their diameter.
  • Non-vial medication formats that a fixed vial board will not hold: ampules, blister packs, nasal atomizers, auto-injectors.
  • Diagnostics and small tools — shears, pen light, thermometer, pulse oximeter, tourniquet windlass spares.
  • Documentation and chain-of-custody paperwork held flat under cordage instead of loose in the lid.
  • Any loop-lined case you already own — this is not REX-exclusive hardware.

The manufacturer's own guidance: if you are combining an accessory panel with a Velcro mesh pouch and a set of NARCO Panels inside one REX Case, the half size fits that combination better. Buy the full size when the panel is the main occupant of the face.

Setup and use
  1. Lay out the gear first, on the bare panel. Do not start weaving until you can see the whole arrangement. Cordage is easy to re-thread but you will not bother once it is done.
  2. Weave from the center outward. Anchor the items you reach for most in the middle of the board where your hand lands naturally.
  3. Size each loop to its item, not to the grid. The Lock Matrix gives you slot positions; the tension you pull is what actually holds the item. Too loose and it walks, too tight and you cannot get it out one-handed.
  4. Leave a slot margin at the edges. Items woven right at the perimeter catch on the zipper when the case closes.
  5. Test it upside down. Turn the panel over and shake it. Anything that falls out was not retained — it was resting.
  6. Mount the panel. Press the hook backing firmly across the full face of the loop field.
Comparison vs common alternatives

Full vs Half accessory panel: the full panel is 6 × 8¾ in and fills a REX interior face. The half is 4⅜ × 6 in and leaves room beside it for a mesh pouch or a NARCO Panel. Full for a single continuous layout, half for a split face.

Accessory Panel vs the NARCO or PFC Medication Panels: the medication panels are purpose-cut for vials and syringes in fixed positions. This is a blank grid — it holds whatever you weave for. Use the medication panels for drugs; use this for everything that is not a vial.

Accessory Panel vs sewn elastic organizer panels: a sewn panel arrives with its loop sizes already decided by somebody who has never seen your kit. This one gets built around your actual gear and rebuilt when the gear changes.

Accessory Panel vs a mesh pouch: different jobs. Mesh contains loose small items that would otherwise rattle. A panel presents items in fixed, visible, individually retrievable positions. Most well-built cases run both.

FAQ

Q: Is the elastic cordage included?

A: Yes. The panel ships with the cordage you weave through the Lock Matrix. That is the whole system — the board and the cord.

Q: Is the REX Case included?

A: No. The case is a separate listing, as are the mesh pouches, the NARCO Panels, and everything medical shown in the photography.

Q: Do I need a REX Case to use it?

A: No. It mounts to any loop Velcro field — a bag lid, a hard case, a wall board, a vehicle organizer, the interior of a PFC Pouch. The REX is what it was designed around, not what it requires.

Q: Full or half — which should I buy?

A: If the panel is the only thing on that face of the case, buy full. If you are running it alongside a mesh pouch or a set of NARCO Panels in the same REX Case, the manufacturer recommends half. Measure your interior face before you decide.

Q: Can I re-weave it later?

A: Yes, and you should expect to. The cordage pulls out and re-threads. The point of the Lock Matrix is that the layout is never final.

Q: Will it hold vials?

A: It can, but a purpose-cut medication panel does it better and in a standardized layout your team can memorize. Use this for the items a vial board cannot hold.

Note: this is an organization accessory, not a clinical device. You receive one full-size accessory panel and elastic cordage. The REX Modular Case, other panels, mesh pouches, medications, and medical supplies depicted in product photography are sold separately and are not included.
