SARCOPHAGE Contaminated-Casualty Transport Cover

A waterproof protection and transport cover for an irradiated or contaminated casualty. The patient lies on a PU-coated 1680D polyamide base under flexible, tear- and cold-resistant transparent polyurethane, so they stay in view. Waterproof YKK zippers open the body and one arm for IV access and blood pressure monitoring, a stretch neoprene yoke frames the face opening, and six polyester straps with double handles carry it.

VIEW ▾Construction, Access & Carry — how it's built, opened and carried

Base: 1680D polyamide, PU-coated, waterproof.
Sides and top: transparent polyurethane, flexible and highly resistant to tearing and cold.
Body opening: waterproof YKK 12-gauge zipper with double sliders and pull tabs sized for gloved hands.
Arm opening for IV access and a blood pressure cuff: waterproof YKK 10-gauge zipper with double sliders and grip pulls for gloved hands.
Face opening: stretch neoprene yoke, 13.4 in (34 cm) in diameter. The face opening is limited to 3.9 in (10 cm) and can be enlarged by cutting.
Carry: 6 polyester straps ending in double handles.
Casualty identification: transparent compartment for a 5.1 × 5.1 in (13 × 13 cm) card with a plastic ring for a report card, plus an identification holder with plastic ring.

How does the face opening work?

The face sits in a stretch neoprene yoke 13.4 in (34 cm) in diameter. The opening itself is limited to 3.9 in (10 cm) and can be enlarged by cutting. Cutting is permanent, so open it only as far as the casualty needs.

How is it cleaned and stored?

Wash it with soapy water and disinfectant using a brush; do not machine wash or dry clean it, and let it dry naturally while hanging vertically. For storage, four laser-cut Hypalon rings at the top hang the cover vertically so it stays crease-free.

Is the Black version the same as the Pink?
