▾Who Carries It

Law enforcement and military personnel on field and training assignments where the uniform has to survive kneeling, vehicle work and a full shift · Tactical medics and SWAT medics who need cargo volume for shears, gloves and a tourniquet without a separate pouch · Range staff and instructors spending the day on the knees.

No training or authorization threshold attaches to a pair of trousers. Camouflage pattern selection is a unit or agency decision — confirm the approved pattern before ordering for a team, and confirm your department uniform policy allows a NYCO blend rather than a flame-resistant fabric.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between Kryptek Highlander and Kryptek Typhon?

Kryptek Highlander is the brand's general-purpose camouflage, combining tan, brown, green, and black layered hexagonal elements for versatility across mixed terrain including desert, grassland, and woodland environments. Kryptek Typhon is an all-dark version in black and dark grey tones, optimized for night operations, urban environments, and low-light conditions where a dark profile is required.

What waist sizes does this listing cover?

This listing covers standard waist sizes from 30" to 38" in Kryptek Highlander and Kryptek Typhon patterns. Operators requiring sizes 40"-48" should select the separate SK7 EON R Kryptek listing for extended waist sizes, which carries the same pant design in the larger size range.

What fabric is used in the Kryptek EON R pant?

The SK7 EON R in Kryptek uses 7.5 oz. rip-stop fabric in a 50% Nylon / 50% Cotton (NYCO) blend with a Teflon® stain and water-repellent finish. The 7.5 oz. weight provides a durable, fade-resistant base well-suited to maintaining the visual integrity of Kryptek's complex layered pattern through repeated washing and UV exposure.

How does Kryptek camouflage work differently from digital patterns?

Kryptek uses a scale-based hexagonal pattern design inspired by reptilian camouflage. Unlike grid-based digital pixels, Kryptek's layered hexagonal elements create a three-dimensional depth-perception effect that makes it difficult for the human eye to resolve the wearer's outline against natural backgrounds. This makes it particularly effective in environments with irregular textures like rocks, dense brush, and dappled light.

Are inseam lengths available in the 30"-38" waist range?

Yes. All waist sizes in the 30"-38" range are available in Short, Regular, and Long inseam lengths, providing complete fit coverage across height ranges. A flexible inseam length adjusting system also allows fine-tuning within each length option.
