TacMed™ Basic Meds & Bandaid Pack
The complaints that actually take people out of a multi-day operation are rarely gunshots. They are blisters, diarrhea, a fever, an allergic reaction, a cut knuckle. This pack carries the over-the-counter medications and minor wound-care supplies for all of it, in an organized format sized for a cargo pocket — designed to sit alongside a hemorrhage-control IFAK, not inside it.

A tourniquet answers the injury that ends a life. Moleskin and loperamide answer the ones that quietly end a mission.

Kit Contents

One configuration, split into the two halves the pack is named for. Everything here is over the counter — read the specification note before it goes into a team kit. Tap a section.

Relationship to an IFAK Supplements a hemorrhage-control kit — it does not replace one

No item in this pack carries CoTCCC recommendation status, and nothing in it is a trauma device: this pack sits outside the MARCH sequence entirely and belongs alongside a hemorrhage-control kit rather than inside it. Every medication is over the counter — use each according to its own manufacturer's package labelling and any medical direction that applies to you, and confirm allergies and contraindications before giving anything to another person. Two notes on the manifest: the source list names both a generic “anti-diarrheal” and loperamide as separate 6-count line items, which may be a duplication rather than two distinct products; and aspirin's role in a suspected cardiac event is governed by your own protocols and scope of practice, not by the fact that it is in the pack. Confirm both with us before this goes into a team-issue kit.

Who Carries It

Multi-day field operations and deployments, where pain, fever, GI illness and allergy accumulate across a mission that a trauma kit does nothing for · Law enforcement patrol and shift kits, so a minor complaint does not take an officer off the street · Search and rescue teams working extended backcountry operations on their feet · Disaster preparedness kits covering the 72 hours after an event, when routine medicine is unavailable · Vehicle, range and go-bag kits, where the pack fits a glove box.

Carry it beside the IFAK rather than in it. The two have different use cases and different urgency, and you do not want to be sorting past adhesive bandages to reach a tourniquet. For weight-constrained movement the pack breaks down into a medication pouch and a bandage cluster that can be split across first- and second-line gear.
