Trauma Essentials Kit
A six-piece IFAK build in a Berry Compliant TacMed™ Operator carrier: packing gauze, a junctional pressure bandage, a vented chest seal, gloves and shears. It is a starting platform, not a finished loadout — no tourniquet and no hemostatic agent are included, deliberately, so the buyer chooses the two components agencies standardize on differently. SKU BNDL-IFAK-002.
6 componentsNo tourniquet — by designNo hemostatic — by designSKU BNDL-IFAK-002

Most entry-level builds put a pressure dressing and a chest seal in a bag and call it done. The gaps show up at the junctional sites, where you cannot wrap a limb because there is no limb to wrap.

Kit Contents

One configuration, six components. The first section is what ships; the second is an honest map of which MARCH phases this build covers and which it does not. Read both before buying. Tap a section.

No component in this kit is a CoTCCC-recommended device. The Sentinel™ is a vented chest seal consistent with CoTCCC-recommended practice for open chest wounds, which is a statement about the intervention, not about the product. Plain gauze packed correctly controls the majority of compressible hemorrhage, but a single deep junctional wound routinely consumes a full pack — one unit per kit is a training assumption, not a field one.

Who Carries It

Agencies and units that standardize their own tourniquet and do not want a second, non-standard one arriving inside every kit · Buyers assembling a first IFAK who would rather choose the hemorrhage components deliberately than inherit them · International buyers, since the build was assembled to ship without brand-restricted items · Anyone upgrading an existing kit at the junctional and chest positions, where entry-level builds are usually thinnest.

Operating notes worth carrying over: a tourniquet goes high and tight on the proximal third of the limb, never across a joint. Do not pack open chest wounds — penetrating thoracic trauma gets the seal. Plain-gauze packing needs firm continuous manual pressure, and three minutes is a working floor rather than a stopping point. This kit is a platform and not a substitute for accredited hemorrhage-control training or local medical direction.
