Before fielding: Confirm the protection level and the NIJ standard edition, confirm it is approved under your agency headgear policy, and record the manufacture date so it can be retired on the stated service life. NVG shroud compatibility depends on the specific mount — confirm your mount system before purchase.

The ergonomic high-cut design provides ballistic coverage across the crown and sides of the head while the cleared ear area allows communications headset compatibility. The helmet does not provide rifle-rated (Level III or IV) protection.

Does the VISM Fast Helmet fit communications headsets?

Yes. The high-cut design of the VISM Fast Helmet is specifically engineered to accommodate noise-cancelling headsets and tactical communications equipment. The ear area is fully cleared, allowing over-ear headsets (Peltor ComTac, MSA Sordin, and most standard tactical headsets) to seat correctly without compression from the helmet shell. This makes the VISM Fast Helmet appropriate for operators who require radio communications and hearing protection simultaneously.

What sizes are available for the VISM Fast Helmet?

The VISM Fast Helmet is available in three sizes: Medium (21.2"–22.8"), Large (22.0"–23.6"), and Extra Large (22.5"–24.4"). All sizes weigh approximately 55.0 oz (3.44 lbs).
