Chase Tactical Single Kangaroo 5.56 + Funda para pistola Mag

What magazines fit in the Chase Tactical Single Kangaroo pouch?

The main compartment holds one 5.56mm×45mm M4-style magazine (metal or polymer) — NOT G36-pattern magazines due to their curved profile. The front kangaroo compartment holds one pistol magazine with internal height adjustment that accommodates 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and most standard pistol magazine lengths. Both single-stack and double-stack pistol magazines fit with appropriate height adjustment.

What is the advantage of a Kangaroo mag pouch over two separate pouches?

The Kangaroo design combines rifle and pistol magazine storage in a single MOLLE footprint, effectively halving the surface area occupied by ammunition management compared to running separate rifle and pistol mag pouches. This is particularly valuable for operators with limited MOLLE real estate on a compact plate carrier or minimalist chest rig, allowing more MOLLE space to be allocated to medical equipment, radios, or other mission-critical accessories.

How does the pistol magazine retention work in the Kangaroo pouch?

The front kangaroo compartment uses a hook-and-loop flap for pistol magazine retention. The flap rolls down and secures via hook-and-loop, allowing fast access without a snap or buckle. An internal height adjustment mechanism accommodates different pistol magazine lengths by repositioning the retention contact point. This provides secure retention across a wide range of pistol magazine sizes without requiring separate inserts.

Is the Chase Tactical Single Kangaroo pouch MOLLE compatible?

Yes. The Single Kangaroo pouch features standard MOLLE/PALS attachment compatible with all modular webbed systems — plate carriers, chest rigs, battle belts, and packs from any manufacturer. The standard MOLLE back requires no tools and locks positively into standard PALS grid spacing.

How does the Single Kangaroo differ from the Triple Kangaroo?

The Single Kangaroo (CT-20K5PMP1) holds one rifle magazine and one pistol magazine in a single MOLLE slot. The Triple Kangaroo (CT-20K5PMP3) holds three rifle magazines and three pistol magazines across three side-by-side Kangaroo compartments — maintaining the same combined rifle+pistol capacity concept in a larger panel footprint. Choose Single for a minimalist load-out or tight MOLLE real estate; choose Triple for full rifle/pistol ammunition staging on one pouch.
