PRODUCT INFORMATION
North American Rescue · Thermal Management
Heat Reflective Shell
The reinforced outer thermal covering North American Rescue builds its HPMK around, sold on its own. Four-ply composite with a non-conductive reflective layer, a built-in hood for the head and neck, an integrated fluid-absorption pad, and 1.5-inch continuous hook-and-loop rated by the manufacturer to support a 250+ lb loaded patient. It is passive: No heat source is included.

A space blanket reflects heat right up until you move the casualty. The question for any thermal covering is whether it survives the litter load — not whether it is shiny.

What's Included

One shell per package. Offered in one configuration — no size or color options, and no warming component. Tap to see what ships.

  • No Ready-Heat® blanket, no chemical or active warming component, and no insulated liner is included — those are the full HPMK and the insulated HPMK, which are separate products

▾Who Carries It

Tactical and military medics preventing hypothermia as part of MARCH casualty care, standalone or over an existing warming layer · EMS and fire rescue wanting a durable, reusable covering instead of a disposable emergency blanket for trauma transport · Search and rescue and wilderness teams encapsulating patients in wind and rain on exposed ground · Aid stations and forward teams staging a reusable thermal covering for casualties awaiting movement.

This is a passive thermal-management covering. Apply hypothermia prevention within your scope of practice and local protocol as part of casualty care.
