PRODUCT INFORMATION
Safeguard Medical · IV Access Set
IV Infusion Starter Set
A vacuum-sealed field IV set carrying both an 18-gauge and a 20-gauge safety catheter plus a macro-drip administration set, so the gauge decision happens at the patient rather than in the pack. TAA-compliant and made in the USA, in a low-cube 3.75 × 7 × 1 in. Pouch at 2.8 oz. A provider-level device.
18 GA and 20 GA, both includedMacro-drip administration setVacuum-sealed, 2.8 ozTAA-compliant · Made in USA

Carrying both gauges means the access decision is made at the vein, not in the pack.

Provider level Provider-level device — peripheral IV cannulation is an invasive procedure

Contents discrepancy: The legacy page's specification block lists 18 GA and 20 GA catheters with a macro-drip set (published above), while its FAQ described a hedged "typical contents" list including a constricting band, alcohol prep pads, securing tape and a flush, and separately said catheters are "typically 18G or 16G". Only the specification block is carried here. Confirm the current packing list with Safeguard Medical before procuring to a written contents requirement.

Who Carries It

Combat medics and 18D Special Forces Medical Sergeants establishing peripheral access in prolonged field care · Tactical EMS and paramedics carrying a pre-organized IV start package · Forward aid stations and clinics stocking a set that cannot be missing a component · TCCC and TECC training programs supplying standardized cannulation practice materials.

Scope of practice. Peripheral IV cannulation and fluid administration are invasive procedures performed only by appropriately trained and credentialed personnel, under their scope of practice and local protocol. This page is product information — it is not a procedural reference, not clinical direction, and not a substitute for accredited training.
