All specifications are manufacturer-stated. This is an inert training aid, not a medical device, and nothing in it is evidence-based standard — the status of whichever real tourniquet or hemostatic a student practises with does not transfer to the trainer. The thigh and calf diameters are the trainer's own dimensions, not a patient-fit range. TrueClot publishes two NSNs for this trainer without stating which belongs to which skin tone, so neither is assigned to a tone here — confirm the NSN against the item number with TrueClot before raising a government requisition.

The geometry is the curriculum. Because the tourniquet zone sits 2–3 in. above the wound on the proximal third of the limb, a student who places correctly is placing where the platform was built to be placed; because the knee is anatomically present, over-the-joint placement can be demonstrated and corrected rather than described. Budget blood simulant as a recurring consumable if you train wet, and plan the wash-down — the trainer cleans with water, the room does not.
