Velcro Mesh Pouch (Half) – Blue Tide Innovations
A 5¾ in × 4½ in zippered pleated-mesh pouch with a hook backing, for the loose small items that will not sit in an elastic loop — gloves, prep pads, tape, batteries, blister packs, flushes. The pleat expands toward you as it fills rather than sideways, so it does not crowd whatever is mounted beside it, and the mesh shows fill level without opening anything. Unzip it in place, or peel the whole loaded pouch off the loop field. Pouch only.

A case running only panels has nowhere to put gloves. A case running only mesh has nothing you can find without looking. Most working cases need both, which is why this one is a half.

What's Included

One configuration on this listing. Read this section before you buy — the product photography shows a fully loaded case, and almost none of it ships with this item.

VIEW ▾What's in the Package — mesh pouch only
  • 1× Velcro Mesh Pouch, half size — 5¾ in × 4½ in, pleated mesh body, zippered, hook backing, 2 oz. Constructed without obtrusive binding so it lies flat against the loop field.
  • NOT INCLUDED: the REX Modular Case. It is a separate listing.
  • NOT INCLUDED: any accessory panel, any NARCO Panel, and every medical item, medication and supply shown in the product photography. All are sold separately.
  • The photographs show the pouch installed in a loaded REX Case beside panels and supplies to demonstrate configuration only.
  • The pouch is empty when it ships. Nothing is pre-loaded into it.
Specifications
Velcro Mesh Pouch (Half) — specifications
Specification Detail
Manufacturer Blue Tide Innovations
Format Half size
Dimensions 5¾ in × 4½ in
Weight 2 oz
Body Pleated mesh — the manufacturer states the pleat expands toward the user as it fills rather than sideways, so the pouch does not crowd items mounted next to it
Construction No obtrusive binding — lies flat against the loop field
Access Zipper for in-place retrieval, or peel the entire pouch off the loop field
Mounting Hook backing — attaches to any loop Velcro field
Intended pairing Sized to share one interior face with a half accessory panel or a NARCO Panel rather than dominate it. The manufacturer specifically pairs this half pouch with a half accessory panel and NARCO Panels inside one REX Case.
Water resistance None, deliberately. Mesh is not a moisture barrier — the manufacturer states it drains and dries rather than holding water. Anything that must stay dry belongs in a sealed pouch.
Crush protection None — mesh has no internal structure. Fragile items belong on a panel.
Capacity Not published as a volume. The manufacturer's own framing: it holds as much as you can fit while still seeing through the mesh.
Country of origin United States — Miami, Florida
Mesh material Not stated on the legacy listing
Product class Organization accessory — not a clinical device, and not regulated as one

Dimensions, weight, construction, access modes, mounting, intended pairing and country of origin are as published on the legacy listing. Two limitations are stated plainly rather than buried, because both are design intent rather than defects: the pouch offers no water resistance and no crush protection. Mesh drains and dries instead of sealing, and it has no structure, so anything that must stay dry or must not be crushed belongs somewhere else — a sealed pouch or a retention panel. Capacity is not published as a volume and has not been estimated here. Mesh material is not stated. Note the exclusion list above: the product photography shows a fully configured REX Case and only the empty pouch ships. This is an organization accessory, not a clinical device, and it makes no clinical claim; what you choose to store in it, and how you secure it, is governed by your own protocol.

Who Carries It

Anyone whose case is already organised and still rattles — this is the home for consumables that no elastic loop will hold · Medics restocking in bulk, who would rather unzip and drop in a handful than thread each item · Crews who run inventory checks by eye, since mesh shows fill level without opening anything · Teams building grab-and-go sub-kits that get peeled off the loop field and handed to a partner · Owners of any loop-lined case, not only REX Cases.

What this is and is not. This is an organization accessory, not a clinical device, and nothing about it extends anyone's scope of practice. Two practical cautions worth carrying off this page: mount it where the case opens toward you, because the pleat expands outward as it fills and a case that closed empty may not close loaded; and check the zipper track after messy calls, because mesh catches debris and a fouled zipper on a sub-pouch is a small failure at a bad moment. If you are storing medications in it, your service's storage, security and accountability rules apply exactly as they would anywhere else.

Setup & Use

Blue Tide's own guidance, reproduced from the legacy listing:

  1. Plan the face before you mount. This is the half size — it is meant to sit beside a panel, not alone. Decide what shares the wall with it first.
  2. Mount it where the case opens toward you. The pleat expands outward as the pouch fills, so give it clearance from the opposite interior face or the case will not close cleanly when loaded.
  3. Load heaviest at the bottom. Mesh has no internal structure. Weight distributed low keeps the pouch flat against the loop field instead of sagging away from it.
  4. Do not overstuff it. A pleated mesh pouch packed solid stops being visible, which defeats the reason to run mesh instead of a solid pouch.
  5. Decide your access mode. Zipper for in-place retrieval during a call. Peel-off for restock, cleaning and inventory.
  6. Check the zipper track after messy calls. Mesh catches debris, and a fouled zipper on a sub-pouch is the kind of small failure that costs you time at the worst moment.
