Belt Trauma Kit

A compact, body-worn trauma kit sized for a duty belt, battle belt or chest rig. It keeps bleeding-control and airway supplies on the body and in front, so the responder never has to reach a pack or a bag first. Two kit types: the base loadout, or the complete kit with a tourniquet and holder.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does the BTK Basic include a C-A-T® tourniquet?

The BTK Basic (80-0426) does not include a tourniquet; it provides hemostatic dressing, chest seal, and pressure dressing. The Complete BTK adds a C-A-T® tourniquet and holder. Users purchasing the Basic should carry a separate C-A-T® in a dedicated tourniquet holder on the same belt.

Are the contents CoTCCC-recommended?

Yes. Combat Gauze® LE is the CoTCCC-recommended #1 hemostatic dressing. The HyFin® Compact Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack is CoTCCC-recommended for penetrating chest wounds. The 4 in. Mini Responder ETD™ is a standard pressure dressing used in all TCCC protocols.

What belt width does the BTK pouch accommodate?

The BTK pouch accommodates belts up to 2 inches wide. It can also be rotated 90° on the belt to reduce horizontal profile when wearing full duty gear.

Is the BTK suitable for civilian EDC use?

Yes. Trained civilians with Stop the Bleed® or TCCC certification carry the BTK on a gun belt or EDC belt for trauma response capability. The Combat Gauze® and chest seal require training to use effectively; the ETD pressure dressing is appropriate for trained bystanders.

How does the BTK compare to the CORE Kit for officer carry?

The BTK mounts on the duty belt itself (belt-loop system); the CORE Kit is vacuum-sealed for pocket, vest, or go-bag carry. For officers who want a belt-rail mounted kit that does not occupy a pocket, the BTK is the correct choice. For maximum compactness in plain-clothes carry, the CORE Kit is preferred.
