Colour-matched loop, rather than black loop on a green or tan carrier, is a visual-profile decision: a black rectangle on a tan placard is the most conspicuous feature on the wearer at distance. What is the Chase Tactical MOLLE Clip Placard used for?

The MOLLE Clip Placard is the front panel component of the Chase Tactical QRC (Quick Response Carrier) plate carrier system. It provides the MOLLE-webbed front face, ID Velcro panels (4"×8" front and back), adjustable shoulder straps, and quick-release waist buckle that together form the functional carrier for the QRC system. It is designed for rapid-action response scenarios — active shooter response, entries, home defense, and critical incidents — where a lightweight, no-frills carrier is preferable to a feature-heavy tactical vest.

What plate sizes does the Chase Tactical QRC/MOLLE Clip Placard system accept?

The QRC system is available in two sizes: Regular (fits standard 10"×12" plates — SAPI S/M, Shooter's Cut 10"×12") and X-Large (fits 11"×14" plates — most uncommon, for larger operators). Select the Regular size for the vast majority of standard plate pairings; the X-Large is needed only for 11"×14" format plates.

What does 'IR-treated at source' mean for the QRC Placard materials?

IR-treated at source means the infrared signature management was applied to the 500D Cordura fabric, Murdock webbing, and plastic hardware during manufacturing — not as a post-production coating applied to the finished carrier. Source treatment ensures consistent IR performance across the entire carrier surface, including seams, webbing, and hardware. Post-production IR coatings wear off at friction points (where the carrier contacts the body, a vehicle seat, or MOLLE attachments), leaving visible hot-spots under NVG observation. Source treatment eliminates this degradation.

How does the bottom-load armor system with internal stirrup work on the QRC?

Bottom-load means ballistic plates slide into the carrier through openings at the bottom of the front and rear plate pockets, rather than top-loading (where you open a flap and drop the plate in from above). The internal stirrup is a fabric sling or shelf inside the pocket that the plate rests on, allowing the operator to adjust the height of the plate within the carrier by repositioning the stirrup. This ensures the plate covers the correct anatomical landmarks (sternal notch to solar plexus) regardless of the operator's torso height.

Can I use the Chase Tactical QRC/MOLLE Clip Placard with VISM plates from MED-TAC International?

Yes — the QRC Regular size accepts standard 10"×12" Shooter's Cut and SAPI-cut plates. VISM Level III+, SRT Ceramic/PE, Level IV, and NIJ Certified Level III plates in 10"×12" format are all compatible with the QRC Regular carrier. The X-Large QRC accepts 11"×14" VISM plates. Verify the cut compatibility (Shooter's vs. SAPI) with the plate you select — both cuts will fit in the QRC's flat-pocket design, with minor gap at the upper corners for Shooter's Cut plates.
