Match the kit type to who will actually be holding it. Basic is built for an untrained bystander working from the instruction patch. Intermediate assumes someone on site has had chest-seal instruction. Advanced substitutes hemostatic gauze, which rewards wound-packing training — law enforcement, security and EMS-trained staff. Buying above your training level does not raise capability; it just changes what is in the pouch.

What is the difference between the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced D-BCRK 8-Packs?

Basic (80-0587): Each kit contains a C-A-T® tourniquet, 6 in. ETD, 2 rolled gauze, gloves, trauma shears, and instruction patch — for untrained or minimally trained bystanders. Intermediate (80-0588): Adds one HyFin® Vent Compact Chest Seal Twin Pack per kit — for Stop the Bleed® Extended or TECC-trained responders. Advanced (80-0589): Replaces rolled gauze with Combat Gauze® LE — for law enforcement, security, and EMS-trained responders.

Are the C-A-T® tourniquets in the kits CoTCCC-recommended?

Yes. Each kit includes an orange C-A-T® (Combat Application Tourniquet), which is the CoTCCC-recommended #1 tourniquet. The HyFin® Vent Compact Chest Seal (Intermediate/Advanced) and Combat Gauze® LE (Advanced) are also CoTCCC-recommended items.

Can the 8-pack be split and distributed as individual kits?

Yes. Each kit is individually packaged and ready for independent deployment. The 8-pack is designed to be distributed as individual kits to multiple locations, vehicles, or personnel.

What training is needed to use the D-BCRK kits effectively?

Basic kit: Stop the Bleed® (90-minute course) covers tourniquet application and pressure dressing — the minimum for effective Basic kit use. Intermediate: Stop the Bleed® Extended adds chest seal instruction. Advanced: TECC or TCCC Hemostatic Packing module is recommended for Combat Gauze® LE application.

Are the kits available in quantities other than 8?
