K-9 Litter

A compact nylon litter built for moving an injured military or law-enforcement working dog. Leg cutouts let the dog lie in a natural orientation instead of folded, and ten handles scale the carry from a lone handler to a four-person team. At 15.3 oz it packs to cargo-pocket size, so the evacuation platform is on the handler rather than in the truck.

A dog that has to be folded to fit the litter is a dog you are injuring on the way out. Species-specific geometry is the whole point of this platform.

Sizing is the decision that matters. Measure the dog before you need the litter: a 35 × 48 in. platform fits the typical working dog, but a large-frame animal that has to be folded or constrained is at risk of secondary injury during the carry. Confirm the fit in training, not during a casualty event.

This is the evacuation half of a canine casualty response. Treatment capability — hemorrhage control, airway, medications — comes from a separate canine medical kit; the litter moves the patient once care has started.
