K-9 Splint

A veterinary limb splint shaped for canine leg geometry: An aluminium alloy core inside closed-cell polyethylene foam, with a longitudinal midline opening so the splint wraps most of the circumference without closing on it. Hand-contourable, radiolucent, waterproof, washable and reusable. Two sizes, Small and Medium.

Can I take X-rays with the splint on?

Yes. The K-9 Splint is radiolucent for X-ray examination without removal.

Is it single-use?

No. It is washable and reusable; it can be remolded and used across patients.

What size should I choose?

Choose a splint width that covers about 70-90% of the leg circumference at the injury site, then ensure length provides needed support.

What should I use to secure it?

Medical tape or cohesive bandage (Vet Wrap-style) is commonly used to secure the splint in place.
