Litter Stands 33"
Lightweight aluminium folding stands that bring a litter-borne casualty up to working height so providers assess and treat without kneeling on the ground. Sold as a set of two: each opens and locks with a cross-member that prevents inadvertent folding, and the pair folds to 34 × 25.75 × 5 in. and weighs 8 lb 8 oz. North American Rescue publishes a 1,200 lb payload and compatibility with Talon, Raven, T3 and Medevac litters.

Height is not a comfort item. Every assessment done on the ground is slower, and a treatment area where the litters sit at inconsistent heights is one where handoffs go wrong.

What's Included

This is equipment, not a stocked kit, and the unit of issue is a set of two stands. The list below is what North American Rescue states ships. Litters are a separate purchase. Tap to open the list.

VIEW ▾In the Box — set of two stands
  • 2× Folding litter stand, lightweight aluminium — 33 in. extended height, 23.5 in. extended base width
  • Locking cross-member on each stand — prevents inadvertent folding once deployed
  • Litter-retention geometry that restricts front-to-back litter movement on the stand
  • No litter. Talon, Raven, T3 and Medevac litters are sold separately
  • No medical supplies — this is treatment-area infrastructure only

The 1,200 lb payload is reproduced exactly as North American Rescue publishes it in its specification table — not rounded, not converted, and not a per-stand figure that has been doubled here. The legacy page's own FAQ contradicts that table by telling the buyer to contact the manufacturer for the current load rating, and it names QuickLitter as a compatible platform where the specification table does not; the table has been carried and the discrepancy flagged for verification. A litter stand is treatment-area infrastructure and makes no spinal-motion-restriction claim.

Who Carries It

Role 1 and Role 2 treatment facilities where the stands are the treatment surface, not an accessory · Casualty collection points and TACEVAC staging holding patients at working height between movements · Field aid stations and forward surgical elements operating without conventional stretcher tables · Training cadres running TCCC lanes that need the same working height every rep.

The practical argument is provider endurance and access. Sustained care delivered from a kneel costs lumbar strain within the first hour and degrades procedural access for anything performed at the torso. Elevation fixes both, and the locking cross-member is what makes elevation trustworthy — an unlocked improvised support fails at the worst possible moment, under a loaded litter.

Set and lock both stands before the casualty arrives. Adjusting or reseating a stand under a loaded litter is a patient-drop risk, and it is the failure mode this product exists to remove. Match the pair to the litter you actually field, and confirm the load path if your platform is not one of the four NAR names.
