What It Is
The ADVANCED is Safeguard Medical’s maximum-capability Mojo® configuration in pocket form. It closes the gap left by simpler kits by adding Battle Wrap — a high-strength, see-through cohesive wrap that anchors packed gauze after wound packing. Without a securement wrap, packed hemostatic gauze can be displaced by patient movement or continued blood flow, losing its clotting advantage; the transparent Battle Wrap allows the wound to be monitored without removing the dressing.
The CoTCCC-recommended mechanical tourniquet provides windlass-type arterial occlusion — the standard approach for extremity hemorrhage in the TCCC MARCH sequence. When an extremity tourniquet cannot be applied (junctional or torso wound), the Celox™ Rapid gauze addresses the bleed through wound packing. Together the two tools cover the majority of life-threatening hemorrhage scenarios a responder will face.
The Mojo® system is built around a belt-mountable, pocket-sized profile so a responder keeps an immediately accessible hemorrhage-control capability even without a full tactical rig. Plainclothes officers, duty officers in soft uniform, off-duty personnel, and civilians in non-permissive settings can carry the ADVANCED without a visible gear signature. At 6.9 oz, it stores in a cargo pocket, jacket pocket, or IFAK side pocket.
Operating notes. For a limb bleed, the tourniquet is applied high and tight on the proximal third of the affected limb — never over or directly adjacent to a joint — and tightened until bright bleeding stops, with time of application noted. For a wound not amenable to a tourniquet, the cavity is packed firmly with Celox™ Rapid and sustained pressure held to allow clot formation, then secured with Battle Wrap to maintain pressure and prevent displacement. This summary is not a substitute for accredited training or local protocol.
