A vacuum-sealed hemorrhage-control kit sized to ride in a BDU or cargo pocket — 7.4 oz in a 4 × 6.5 × 2.75 in envelope. It covers the Massive Hemorrhage phase of MARCH with a C-A-T® tourniquet, a 4 in flat trauma dressing, wound-packing gauze and gloves, for the officer who cannot wear a visible kit but still needs bleeding control on their person.

This is a massive-hemorrhage kit, not a full IFAK: there is no chest seal, airway or decompression capability in either build. Officers wanting thoracic and airway coverage should carry it alongside a worn IFAK rather than in place of one.

Patrol officers who cannot run a visible tactical kit but need bleeding control on the body rather than in the vehicle · Officers already wearing an IFAK carrying the IPOK as a second, redundant load · Mass-casualty responders using vacuum-sealed singles for fast hand-off to bystanders and additional casualties · TCCC and TECC law-enforcement courses training on the same kit officers carry.

Stage it somewhere reachable with either hand. A tourniquet mounted so it can only be retrieved with the uninjured side is a tourniquet that fails on the one wound pattern it was bought for. Formal tourniquet and wound-packing training should precede operational carry.

The IPOK is built around CoTCCC-recommended devices — specifically the C-A-T® tourniquet and, where included, CoTCCC-recommended hemostatic gauze. The kit aligns with TCCC/TECC protocols for law enforcement.

What training is recommended before carrying the IPOK?

TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) or Stop The Bleed training is strongly recommended. Officers should practice C-A-T application to the point of automaticity, and rehearse chest seal application, before carrying the kit operationally.

Does the IPOK include a chest seal?

Yes. The IPOK includes a HyFin® Vent Chest Seal (Twin Pack) for treatment of penetrating thoracic injuries — one of the three leading causes of preventable traumatic death.
