Product Overview
The CCRK Medic/Leg Rig is NAR's answer to the squad-level medical demand: a single platform that gives the unit medic everything needed to manage two to four simultaneous casualties from the point of wounding. The doubling of critical supplies (two tourniquets, two decompression kits, two ETDs, four S-Rolled Gauze, two airways) reflects the statistical reality that in squad-level contact, multiple extremity wounds are common and the medic cannot return to a vehicle or cache between casualties.
The platform's three-way mounting system offers flexibility across the entire operational spectrum. Leg rig configuration keeps the kit below the plate carrier and away from the tactical vest for speed of access while kneeling or in cover. MOLLE configuration allows attachment to an aid bag, backpack, or large carrier when bulk is less of a concern. The quick-weave belt method provides vehicle-accessible carry for mounted operations. All configuration hardware is interchangeable without tools.
The saline lock kits and BOA® IV constricting band extend the Medic CCRK into circulation management beyond basic hemorrhage control, providing IV access capability for fluid resuscitation — an advanced intervention requiring appropriate training but critical for prolonged field care (PFC) scenarios. The two NAR T2 Tag® triage cards support proper mass casualty tagging per standard TCCC and SALT protocols.
