PRODUCT INFORMATION
MicroBVM Systems · Collapsible Adult Resuscitator
Pocket BVM Tactical
The black-bag configuration of the Micro BVM collapsible resuscitator: a full 1,600 mL adult bag-valve-mask with transparent mask, patient valve and 2,600 mL oxygen reservoir, collapsed into a rigid twist-top case 134 mm across. The resuscitator body is moulded in non-reflective black; the mask is deliberately left clear.
1,600 mL adult bag134 × 63 mm case450 g totalAdult over 40 kg

A provider bagging a patient is stationary, hands occupied, and lit for the whole intervention — and ventilation is measured in minutes. The black bag removes that variable at no clinical cost.

What's Included

One packed case, not a kit. The manufacturer publishes the case contents item by item — tap to read them.

VIEW ▾What's in the Case — five components, packed
  • 1× Resuscitator bag — black, non-reflective, 1,600 mL
  • 1× Transparent adult face mask — left clear on purpose, so vomit, blood and condensation stay visible
  • 1× Patient valve
  • 1× Oxygen reservoir bag, 2,600 mL
  • 1× Rigid twist-top carry case, 134 mm diameter × 63 mm high
  • No oxygen supply line is included in this configuration — the Pocket BVM with O₂ Tubing packs a 2 m line in an identically sized case. No PEEP valve, adjunct airway or instruction card is listed as shipping with this configuration.

CoTCCC status None. CoTCCC does not publish brand-specific recommendations for bag-valve-mask resuscitators as it does for tourniquets and hemostatic dressings; any vendor calling a BVM "TCCC approved" is overstating. What is verifiable here is the ISO standard and the NSNs held by the other two configurations.

Three numbers get confused on every collapsible BVM listing, so keep them separate: 1,600 mL is bag capacity, 500–600 mL is what reaches the patient on a one-handed compression, and 2,600 mL is the oxygen reservoir. Ventilate to chest rise, not to bag capacity. Every figure on this page is the manufacturer's published specification for this device.

Who Carries It

SWAT and TEMS carrying real ventilation capability on a plate carrier or duty belt in a colour that does not mark the treatment position · Night-vision operations, where a translucent bag is a bright moving object under IR illumination · Military and SOF medics whose mission profile already demands light discipline · Fire, EMS and rural SAR after dark, where headlamp glare off a clear bag is a working problem before it is a tactical one.

Positive-pressure ventilation works only through a patent airway, and an adjunct is usually what makes the bag work. Bag-valve-mask ventilation is a trained skill performed within your scope of practice and local protocol. The device is rated for adults over 40 kg by the manufacturer; stock a pediatric-sized bag separately if your response profile includes children.
