What is the QuikLitter™ designed for?

What is the difference between the Standard and XL QuikLitter™?
The Standard QuikLitter™ is rated to 500 lb with 10 carry handles. The XL version is 12 in. wider and 6 in. longer, rated to 1,000 lb, with 14 handholds and two built-in patient retention straps — providing more room, better patient security, and higher load capacity for larger patients or longer-distance carries.
Is the QuikLitter™ waterproof or water-resistant?
The QuikLitter™ is constructed from water-resistant woven polyethylene, maintaining its structural integrity and patient carry performance in rain, wet conditions, and on wet surfaces. It is not designed for full submersion, but its water resistance makes it appropriate for outdoor and wet-environment casualty carries.
How many people are needed to use the QuikLitter™?
The QuikLitter™ Standard supports 2 to 6-person carries with its 10 handles (4 per side, 1 each end). The XL version with 14 handles supports 2 to 8-person carries. Minimum team size is two people (one at each end), making it usable even when team resources are severely limited in mass casualty scenarios.
Can the QuikLitter™ be reused?
The QuikLitter™ is designed as a disposable litter, intended for single-patient use. After deployment, it is left with the receiving care team or safely disposed of. This eliminates decontamination requirements between patients — a significant operational advantage in MCI environments where cross-contamination prevention and rapid equipment turnover are priorities.
Is the QuickLitter CoTCCC-recommended?
CoTCCC guidelines address casualty movement under fire (Tactical Field Care and TACEVAC phases). While CoTCCC does not enumerate specific litter models by name, the QuickLitter is purpose-built for the patient movement requirements outlined in those guidelines.
