Range Trauma Kit - Hard Case
A watertight orange hard case built to sit in one place for months and still work. Five CoTCCC-recommended devices inside — two orange C-A-T® tourniquets, two Combat Gauze® LE and a HyFin® Vent twin pack — plus splints, burn and eye care and a full minor-injury load, sorted into labelled removable pouches so a responder pulls the right pouch instead of digging. 21 line items, 8 lb 12 oz. SKU MEDTAC0488.

A carried kit gets checked because it gets handled. A fixed station kit gets forgotten — which is why the case matters more than the bag, and why the inspection log matters more than either.

CoTCCC recommendation applies to five items here: both C-A-T® tourniquets, both Combat Gauze® LE dressings and the HyFin® Vent chest seals. It does not extend to the S-rolled gauze, the ETD dressings, the splints, the burn dressing, the eye care or the tools, and no kit inherits the status of its parts. Three notes. Capacity is asymmetric: two tourniquets and two hemostatic dressings cover two bleeding casualties, but one twin pack of chest seals covers only one penetrating chest wound, so a second seal is a sensible addition on a range. NAR's two published contents lists for this kit disagree on four lines — the gauze count and type, the elastic wrap width, the tape quantity and the glove line. The list above follows the detailed manifest; confirm against the kit contents card in the case on receipt. And the manufacturer describes Combat Gauze® and ChitoGauze® PRO variants of this kit; this listing is the Combat Gauze® LE configuration, so a unit whose protocol names the other agent should confirm before ordering. Finally, this is a fixed station kit: inspect monthly and after any use, check dates on the hemostatic, seals and eye wash, and record it on the card in the case. Nothing on this page is training or medical direction.

Who Carries It

Shooting ranges, as the fixed medical station on a shelf, a bracket or in a dedicated alcove · Law enforcement and military training facilities needing a weatherproof kit that stays viable through humidity, solvents and temperature swings · Gun clubs and safety offices putting one durable, visible kit in a known location · High-throughput facilities where a kit is opened often and a fabric bag would not survive the handling.

The organisation is the working feature. Labelled removable pouches mean a range safety officer under stress pulls the pouch that matches the injury rather than emptying a single compartment onto the ground, and the pouch can go to the casualty rather than the whole case. Two habits make the kit work over years: check it monthly against the contents card, and restock the same day it is opened. These notes are general reference only and are not a substitute for accredited training.
