Squad Responder Kit
The bag that sits between one IFAK and a medic's ruck: full MARCH coverage with the hemorrhage and chest supplies doubled, so a squad taking two to four casualties is not rationing. Four CoTCCC-recommended device types inside, in a 14 × 14 × 5 in. MultiCam profile that rides flat against a seat or a crew wall. 4 lb 14 oz. SKU 85-1764.

One IFAK treats the person carrying it. This bag exists for the moment after that — when there are three casualties and one person who has to work all of them.

CoTCCC recommendation applies to four items here: the C-A-T® tourniquets, the Combat Gauze® Z-Fold, the HyFin® Vent chest seals and the ARS needle decompression devices. It does not extend to the ETD dressings, the compressed gauze, the nasopharyngeal airway, the splint, the burn or eye products, the tools or the bag. Read the scope line carefully before this bag is issued. Two of its components — the ARS needle and the nasopharyngeal airway — are provider-scope items. Needle decompression in particular is an invasive procedure, and two devices are supplied because bilateral decompression is a real possibility, not because it is a routine intervention. An organisation buying this kit should be clear which of its people are trained and authorised to use those two items, and should be equally clear that everything else in the bag is usable by a trained combat lifesaver. Capacity is honest but uneven: hemorrhage and chest are doubled for two casualties, while the splint, the blanket, the elastic bandage and the flashlight are single items — with four casualties, those run out first. Nothing on this page is training or medical direction.

Who Carries It

Squad and team leaders carrying multi-casualty capability without a medic's load · Combat lifesavers, as a primary CLS platform · Vehicle crews and LE tactical elements, as a squad-level vehicle set that sits flat against a seat or a crew wall · Units bridging the IFAK gap, where one personal kit is not enough and a full aid bag is more than the mission carries.

The doubling is the design. Two tourniquets, two hemostatic dressings, four vented seals and two decompression needles means the second and third casualty do not get whatever is left — which is the situation an IFAK cannot answer and the reason this kit exists. Everything is stowed to be found by feel: silent pulls, a leashed pair of shears, a rescue hook, and casualty cards so the treatment travels with the patient. Airway adjunct and needle decompression require training and scope-of-practice authorisation. These notes are general reference only and are not a substitute for accredited training.
