TACWrap™ Multi-Purpose Burn Cravat

A sterile, non-adherent dry burn dressing that is also a full-size triangular cravat — 45 in. × 45 in. × 63 in. Of 100% spunbond polypropylene, vacuum-sealed with two safety pins into a package the size of a deck of cards. One item covers the burn-dressing, sling, swathe and field-bandage slots that would otherwise take three.

Woven cotton sticks to a weeping burn and takes tissue with it on removal. A non-adherent synthetic is the difference between a dressing change and a second injury.

The guideline line is reproduced as the manufacturer states it — H&H Medical's claim that the dressing material meets the TCCC burn management guidelines of November 2009. That is a materials claim from 2009, not a current CoTCCC device recommendation, and the two should not be read as the same thing. One item on the legacy list of field applications — “improvised tourniquet padding: Soft tissue protection under rigid splinting” — described splint padding under a tourniquet heading and has been left off as unclear. Burn care beyond covering a wound — fluid resuscitation, depth assessment, transfer decisions — is protocol and training territory, not something this page addresses.
