What It Is
The ADVANTAGE Bundle integrates two of 6:8 Medical Solutions’ flagship Popp Point Pressure™ devices into one deployable kit, built on a patented directed-pressure mechanism with no direct equivalent in the hemorrhage-control market. It was designed by Command Sergeant Major and SOF medic Uriah Popp, who identified a gap in conventional hemorrhage control: while tourniquets address extremity bleeding and pressure dressings provide circumferential compression, neither delivers the targeted downward pressure needed for compressible non-extremity sites — axilla, groin, neck, and amputated-limb stumps.
The Advantage® Pressure Bar uses patented P3D technology to lock in directed point pressure over a wound site, freeing the provider’s hands for other critical-care tasks. The three included pressure heads cover different wound diameters and anatomical locations. It is compatible with CoTCCC-recommended tourniquets, wraps, and non-pressure bandages, integrating into existing hemorrhage-control protocols. The 8-year shelf life suits pre-positioned emergency kits and vehicle medical loadouts.
The HEMGUARD® Targeted Pressure Bandage is the only pressure bandage that delivers four capabilities in one product: problematic-site solution (neck, axilla, groin, stump), 4-way anchoring redirection, mechanical advantage in two directions, and a targeted pressure head that helps prevent rebleed and constriction complications. Together with the Pressure Bar, the bundle delivers a complete hands-free, targeted hemorrhage-control system for the most challenging compressible wound sites.
