The larger of the two NAR workplace kits, sized for bigger facilities and deeper consumable inventory. It meets the ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2021 Class B standard — which includes a tourniquet and a splint — and pairs them with a HyFin® Vent Chest Seal Twin Pack, in a zippered nylon bag you carry to the patient. Three hemostatic versions match the kit to the team's training.

OSHA requires adequate supplies and trained responders; ANSI Z308.1 Class B is the consensus standard — and it includes a tourniquet. Compliance and hands-on hemorrhage control training are two different problems, and only one of them is on the ANSI checklist.

Is the Class B kit OSHA compliant?

The Compressed Gauze variant provides effective mechanical wound packing and is the most cost-effective option. The Bleeding Control Dressing (QuikClot) adds kaolin-based hemostatic acceleration, ideal for severe arterial bleeds. The Celox First Aid Gauze uses chitosan, which is effective on patients taking anticoagulants or aspirin — a relevant consideration for office and healthcare environments with older workforce demographics.

Is the C-A-T® Tourniquet in this kit CoTCCC-recommended?

Yes. The C-A-T® (Combat Application Tourniquet®) in Orange included in this kit is CoTCCC-recommended for extremity hemorrhage control. It is the most widely fielded limb tourniquet in the world and Official Tourniquet of the U.S. Army.
