PRODUCT INFORMATION
North American Rescue · Wheeled Litter Carrier + Transit Case
Wheeled Litter Carrier w/Case
The North American Rescue wheeled litter carrier bundled with a rugged, stackable, wheeled storage and transit case. The carrier rolls a loaded litter and doubles as a field litter stand; the case protects it through long-term storage, inter-facility moves and forward staging. NAR publishes a 550 lb carrier payload and a 98 lb combined system weight — the package ships freight, on a pallet.

A carrier that lives in a cache is only as ready as the way it was stored — wheels, clamp and frame are the parts an unprotected stow quietly destroys.

What's Included

This is equipment, not a stocked kit. The list below is what North American Rescue states ships in the package — the carrier and its case. Litters are a separate purchase. Tap to open the list.

The 550 lb figure is the carrier's payload as North American Rescue publishes it; it has not been rounded or converted here, and it is not a rating for the case. Combined weight (98 lb) is the carrier and case together — plan the lift and the pallet accordingly. This is a transport and staging platform and carries no spinal-motion-restriction claim. Before pairing it with a litter, confirm the litter's width against the carrier's adjustable locking clamp.

Who Carries It

Military and MEDEVAC staging elements pre-positioning a carrier forward, where the case is what keeps it serviceable between activations · Role 1 and Role 2 treatment facilities that move equipment with the element · Hospital and EMS systems holding surge equipment in a cache between events · Forward surgical and disaster-response teams relocating frequently and moving the carrier as cargo.

Choose this over the carrier alone when the carrier will travel or sit in storage. A wheeled carrier stowed loose in a vehicle bay takes its damage in the wheels, the frame and the locking clamp — the three parts that have to work first when it is pulled out. The case is additive protection; it does not change how the carrier performs.

Two planning notes. The package ships freight on a pallet, so a receiving point with a dock or a lift-gate arrangement matters. And the case, being wheeled and stackable, is a storage decision as much as a transit one — units stack in an equipment room without consuming the floor space a bare carrier would.
