Dimatex Medical Bags, Oxygen Bags and Organizers
Dimatex is a French manufacturer of professional intervention bags for ambulance, fire-rescue, technical rescue and tactical medical teams. The line is built as a system: intervention and rescue backpacks, dedicated oxygen therapy bags, and a family of organizer pouches, ampoule holders and inserts that fit inside them. Most bags ship empty so every service can build its own ALS or BLS load, and most come in several colors, red and blue on nearly every model, so units can color-code bags by role or content.

How to Choose a Dimatex Bag
1. ALS or BLS load
Dimatex bags ship empty, so the care level is set by what you pack. As a rule of thumb, a BLS first-in load (airway adjuncts, BVM, bleeding control, splinting, vitals) fits the 30–43 L bags. A full ALS load with IV access, a drug module and an advanced airway kit is easier to organize in 40 L and larger bags, using the dedicated ampoule holders and the INTUBSTORE case.
2. Oxygen cylinder size
Dimatex rates its oxygen bags by European cylinder water volume: 2-litre and 5-litre cylinders. BOOSTER S carries a 2-litre cylinder and BOOSTER L a 5-litre. DOPPLER, TOTEM, DECAL SCALP and COYOTE take one 2-litre or one 5-litre cylinder, and VERTICAL and BAROUD have a 5-litre cylinder mount. These are not US letter sizes. Check your D or E cylinder's diameter and length against the bag's cylinder sleeve before ordering, or contact us and we will confirm fit.
3. Capacity and carry
Capacity runs from 30 L compact bags to the 95 L BAROUD. Most bags carry as backpacks with a top or side handle; HEROES, MATRIX, TONIC and URGENCY also carry over the shoulder. The TOM 50 is a panel bag that hangs from a vehicle, bar or cable and unfolds into a work surface.
4. Fabric and decontamination
Most Dimatex bags are 1680D polyamide that is waterproof, antistatic and bacteriostatic. Many models are also built in PVC for services that wipe down and decontaminate bags between calls. Sealable YKK zippers accept a tamper seal so a checked bag can be verified at shift change.
5. Rescue features
Bags built for technical and air rescue (ALPINE, CATAPULTE, PHANTOM, TONIC, URGENCY, HEROES, MATRIX, VERTICAL, BAROUD, TALWEG) carry winch or helicopter hoisting rings. Retroreflective tape and identification panels keep crews visible on roadway and night scenes.

Do Dimatex bags come stocked?
No. Dimatex bags and pouches ship empty. Several bags include organizer pouches such as CRISTAL transparent pouches or a PATROL front pocket; each product page lists exactly what is in the box.
Will a US D or E oxygen cylinder fit?
Dimatex specifies European 2-litre and 5-litre cylinders, not US letter sizes. Compare your cylinder's diameter and length with the bag's cylinder sleeve, or ask us before you order and we will check fit for your cylinder.
Can agencies order matching colors across a fleet?
Yes. Most bags and pouches come in several colors, and the organizer pouches share the same color set, so a service can assign one color per bag role or per module. For multi-unit or government orders, request a quote and we will build it to your fleet list.
Which pouches fit inside Dimatex bags?
CRISTAL, RACK, PATROL, PUZZLE, MYSTIC 2 and the STUP ampoule holders are Dimatex's own modules, and many bags have Velcro mounting surfaces for them inside. Check the dimensions on each pouch page against the bag compartment you plan to use.
