COMBAT GAUZE® STOPS ARTERIAL AND VENOUS BLEEDING IN SECONDS  Fast-acting Combat Gauze® is the ultimate wound care dressing. To be effective in real use, hemostatic dressings need to work fast.  The current generation of hemostatic agents need at least 3 minutes of compression to work. Celox RAPID Gauze removes the delay by speeding up packing time10 and reducing compression time to just 60 seconds while using the proven hemostat technology of Celox. TRIED AND TESTED Treatmemt time is the combined time of wound packing and compression time. Independent testing on Celox RAPID has shown the product works on lethal injuries and significantly reduces blood loss compared to Quikclot Gauze*. As well as reducing treatment time and blood loss, a model of tactical evacuation showed that the Celox RAPID Gauze stayed in place during transport with no re-bleeding. CELOXTM GAUZE COTCCC RECOMMENDED The US Department of Defense’s Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) has added Celox Gauze to its guidelines for control of hemorrhage as recommended hemostatic agents for military-wide use.   Already in use by US Special Forces due to its superior results, the approval of the CoTCCC makes Celox Gauze a standard ordering and procurement hemostatic dressing for all branches of the US military. The CoTCCC decision now makes Celox available to every member of the DOD’s forces, and Celox can be added to and reordered for all wound care and medical kits in US military use. EXCELLENT RESULTS IN DOD TESTING. In tests conducted by the US Navy, subjects treated with Celox Gauze demonstrated the highest rate of observed survival with 90 % when compared to the current standard of care, Combat Gauze with a 60% survival rate.   Celox also has a substantial history of use on the battlefield (with conventional and special forces) and has repeatedly proven itself in austere settings.   PROTECTION FOR YOU AND FELLOW OFFICERS. Celox was originally used to save lives on the battlefield by stopping the most catastrophic bleeding in minutes. In a civilian medical emergency treating bleeding casualties quickly and effectively is just as vital. The casualty may have been bleeding for some time before arriving on scene. They may be going into shock, hypothermic or developing coagulopathies that inhibit attempts to arrest blood loss. To complicate situations more, millions of Americans take the anti-platelet drugs and anticoagulants such as Heparin and Warfarin (Coumadin) that affect the body’s natural blood clotting cascade. Attempts to control bleeding with direct pressure alone may be ineffective and some mineral-based hemostatic agents work by accelerating part of the clotting cascade which may be less effective if the clotting cascade does not function normally. Celox Granules work independently of the body’s clotting mechanism. Celox Granules can even clot hypothermic blood and blood containing blood thinning drugs Warfarin (Coumadin) or Heparin. Accidents and injuries can happen anywhere, but in some occupations the specific hazards, or being hours from a hospital can significantly increase the risk. Whether you are on expedition, working in forestry, merchant shipping or oil exploration, you need to be prepared to deal with serious injuries.  In remote settings or expeditions, you need to be self-reliant until you can reach good medical care.
