The source page marks all four of the tourniquet, ETD, QuikClot BCD and HyFin chest seal as "CoTCCC-recommended". Only the SOFT-T Wide® and the HyFin® vented chest seal hold that status on the current device list; the ETD is a pressure dressing and the QuikClot BCD is not the same product as QuikClot Combat Gauze. Those two annotations have therefore been withheld pending confirmation. Note also that a kit is never itself CoTCCC-recommended — the recommendation attaches to individual devices.

Tourniquet application and wound packing are lay-responder skills taught in a short course, and the Public Access Care Card is a prompt rather than a substitute for that training. A station kit is only as good as the number of people in the building who have opened one before.

Those are provider-level interventions requiring formal TCCC, EMT or equivalent training and agency protocol authorization. This page describes capability, not technique, and is not a substitute for accredited training.

Standardize the pull-bag loading across the element and orient every new medic to it. A pack any team member can work under stress is worth more than a pack loaded to one person's preference.
