Product Overview

The Striker ACHMC is the mid-cut configuration of Chase Tactical's Advanced Combat Helmet line. It exists to resolve a real trade-off: the standard-cut ACH delivers maximum lateral and temporal coverage but crowds over-the-ear hearing protection, while the high cut clears comms completely at the cost of shell area. The mid cut trims the shell above the ear enough to accommodate most headset systems while preserving materially more side coverage than a high-cut shell.

For agencies standardizing a single helmet across mixed assignments — patrol rifle officers, SRO and school-based teams, corrections emergency response, and tactical teams that run comms only on callout — the mid cut is frequently the correct single-SKU answer. It avoids buying two helmet families to cover two use profiles.

NIJ Standard 0106.01 testing requires the helmet to defeat 9mm FMJ Round Nose (124 gr at 1,400 ft/s), .357 Magnum JSP (158 gr at 1,395 ft/s), and .44 Magnum SJHP (240 gr at 1,400 ft/s) without complete penetration. The shell meets these requirements as confirmed by an NVLAP-accredited ballistic testing laboratory, and is additionally MIL-STD 662F V50 tested for fragmentation. The D3O TRUST 7-point pad system reduces blunt-impact energy transfer — relevant because a stopped ballistic round still transfers significant kinetic energy to the wearer.

This is a handgun- and fragmentation-rated system. It is not rifle rated. Personnel facing a rifle threat require rated hard armor plates in a carrier.

• High cut — maximum clearance for active comms and secure-fit ear protection in breaching and CQB roles.
